Seasonal Style, Beauty and Inspiration Supporting Breast Cancer Ireland
A host of well-known faces from the world of fashion, beauty and broadcasting, along with breast cancer survivors and supporters, gathered in Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook, Dublin on Friday, December 7, to raise funds to support Breast Cancer Ireland’s research and awareness programmes nationally.
The second annual Beauty, Style & Inspiration Christmas Luncheon was hosted by broadcaster and longtime supporter of the charity, Lisa Cannon, and included a fashion show from leading boutiques, and inspirational talks. 98fm News Reporter and Breast Cancer Ireland Ambassador Georgie Crawford gave an emotional talk on her challenging experience, having just returned to work one year from her diagnosis.
The fashion element was styled by Lorna Weightman, with seasonal looks from Fran & Jane, Phoenix V, Hobbs and The Outnet, and was modelled by Ursula Kelly and Kerri Nicole Blanc, staunch supporters of the charity over a number of years. Models also included Caoimhe O’ Dwyer, and Niamh McCormack, daughter of Make-Up Forever’s Creative Director, Annie Gribbin.
Annie Gribben contributed to the event by giving a make-up masterclass on the day, and shared her words of wisdom and advice to over 130 glamorous guests who attended this sold-out event.
CEO of Breast Cancer Ireland Aisling Hurley commented, “It is fundraising events such as these that help raise funds to support our research efforts and help us to continue our education and awareness programmes nationally. This annual event is also an opportunity to come together with our amazing Breast Cancer Ireland ambassadors, our loyal supporters and sponsors, and to reflect on the year that was, to remember those who have passed, and to look to the future with hope and determination of transforming the landscape of breast cancer in Ireland.”
