Mark Rutherford supporting Breast Cancer Ireland
Breast Cancer Ireland is delighted with Mark Rutherford’s support from his 5km runs fundraiser he held in memory of his late wife, Melanie Hill-Rutherford.
Mark completed a 5km run before ten selected Irish Women’s League National and Girls under 19’s football matches, in memory of his late wife Melanie. With support from family, friends and the wider community, he raised an astounding €27,811.45 for breast cancer research and awareness. These funds will significantly help our ongoing research and awareness efforts, including our Education & Awareness programmes.
“I’m over the moon with the pleasure of contributing to the Breast Cancer Ireland charity in memory of my late wife Melanie Hill-Rutherford”, says Mark. “I would like to thank DLR Waves(UCD), Shelbourne FC, Peaumount Utd and Bray Wanderers. Thanks also to Cork City, Galway Utd and Athlone Town for also allowing me on the pitches to run. All this was done in memory of my late wife Mel who would surely be touched looking down at the great success and support received from everyone”.
“Myself and my 4 children Naoise, Holly, Eabha and Rian, are so grateful for all the support, not only during my 5k charity runs and during these difficult times, but also those who knew me, Mel and our family going way back”.
Thank you so much Mark for your overwhelming support.
