RTE Guide Pink Issue
This week’s RTÉ Guide is a special Pink Issue for Breast Cancer Ireland. Guest edited by best-selling author Cathy Kelly, it is packed full of practical advice, inspiration and hope to mark breast cancer awareness month. The special pink issues have, over the past three years, raised over €30,000 to support research and awareness programmes nationally.
Breast cancer survivors, including Emma Cassidy, Edel Cannon and Denise Ashe share their stories of diagnosis and treatment. Researchers and medics talk about new testing techniques and tailor-made treatments. The issue also contains an article on mental fortitude by psychologist Dr Olivia Hurley and a piece on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer by Kilkenny GP Dr Julie McMahon. There is also Pink News on initiatives happening all over the country throughout the month.
Commenting on the special issue, Breast Cancer Ireland CEO Aisling Hurley says, “As we embark on Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are once again delighted to work with the RTÉ Guide on their annual Pink Issue, and so appreciative of both the funds raised and the increased awareness the issue generates.”
RTÉ Guide will donate 20c of every copy sold to the charity. Thank you, RTÉ Guide!
